The Facebook for Educators Guide reminds educators that students need guidance on how to be respectful and courteous in an online space--especially as social media becomes inseparable from a student's everyday life.
The Guide says that, "Educators we have spoken to told us that developing a culture of compassion within the physical walls of [a] school…sets the expectation for a culture of compassion to be exhibited by students in their online associations outside of school."
