Convenient, Cost-Effective Paperless Financial System Saves Time, Effort and Money
November 15, 2006 - RenWeb, the industry leader in next-generation, web-based school management software today announced the addition of a new “Pay Now” feature to the ParentsWeb service empowering parents to pay school tuition and other fees online instantly at no extra cost to the school.
ParentsWeb allows parents to communicate directly with staff and keep track of their children’s academic performance via the Internet in the convenience of their own home, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

RenWeb schools have always had the ability to invoice for tuition and fees by simply notifying parents using the software’s email feature that their ParentsWeb account balances have been updated, saving the cost of printing paper invoices, stuffing envelopes and paying for postage. When parents now use Pay Now to make online payments, schools will save the time and cost of receiving checks and manually posting payments to family account balances.”
Parents do not need to register for the service, and can access the Pay Now feature on their family account balance page in the ParentsWeb using their secure login. There they will find a list of outstanding balances along with full details for each fee. They can click on the Pay Now button to pay the balance and a small convenience charge which is included using a credit/debit card or bank account information. Schools can choose to absorb the cost of the convenience charges instead of billing them to the families.
For their part, the convenience of Pay Now allows schools to simply identify which types of charges they want to make available for Pay Now payments, and if RenWeb should Auto Clear those charges with the payments. RenWeb then does the rest by recording the payments, mapping the payments to the charges and completing the clearance process so schools have up-to-date aging information on family balances. RenWeb offers staff training for the software on reasonable terms.
