You know that your school website is the key to your entire marketing plan. So what are the things that can derail your design?
- Don’t lose conversions because your CTAs are too vague or ambiguous. Make sure that prospective parents or constituents know exactly where to go to inquire, apply, or make an online donation.
- Embedded live streams of social accounts like Facebook or Twitter are popular, but you don’t want too many widgets to distract from the main content of your website. Choose one or two accounts to highlight and link to the rest using icons in your website footer.
- Don’t make it hard for someone to get in touch with the right person at your school. Clear, concise contact points are necessary.
- A mobile-friendly website is not necessarily a responsive website. Check your score using Google’s test here.
